Manipur International University (MIU) is an Autonomous State International University situated in the scenic State of Manipur in India. It is a Statutory University established, recognised and accredited by the State Government of Manipur through an Act of the State called as the Manipur International University Act, 2018. It is declared as an “International University of Excellence”, “Institution of State Importance” and “State Research Institute” by the State. MIU is listed and recognised as “State Private University” by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, Government of India under sections 2(f) and 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. It is an aspiring Research oriented University under National Education Policy, 2020.
